Gaby Moore Works
The majority of Gaby's oil paintings are very colourful, however Gaby uses only the primary colours (red, yellow and blue) with white to create the whole spectrum of colours. Gaby says 90% of painting should be about mixing and understanding colour and only 10% should be actual painting - it is only then that you can see the role colour play in a painting.

Aquatint is a method of etching and all of Gaby's works have been created using this technique. Here, a plate is exposed to acid through a layer of melted granulated resin, leaving an evenly pitted surface that yields broad areas of tone when the grains are removed and the plate is printed. Etching and aquatint are often combined in a print by means of successive workings of its plate.

Gaby uses terracotta and occasionally a rare Spanish black clay to create her sculptures. Her largest body of work was carried out during her stay at Glyndebourne Opera House where she was Artist in Residence for the duration of the 2010 season.
